For mature audience only

The new season of No Festival Required starts with a bang on Sunday September 5, as violence rears its ugly head in several of the featured pieces.

Subjects include a dash for freedom, a mean golf swing and a big man with a bigger heart.

Directors include David Decabooter, Rayce Denton, Matt Garcia, Marco Santiago, the Staat Brothers and Matt Van Tassell.

The program features a new version of a NFR crowd favorite, "Flight of the Bumblebee" by Rayce Denton, originally screened at one of the early NFR shows and, more recently at our Phoenix Art Museum "Selections Part 2 " show.

The new version, now a long-form short at 45 minutes, expands both the love story and fleshes out the characters, with very different results. For those that have seen this short before, it will be interesting to see the changes. For those who haven't, come see why it's one of our best.

Modified Arts invites those who work in short video and film to contact Steve Weiss for more information on submissions for future "No Festival Required" shows. Submissions are selected approximately 4 weeks before each show.

Call 602-265-9524 or even better, visit the website for submission info, www.candidlandscapes.com/nofes
