Thoughtcrime falls victim to downtown gentrification
Activismpete writes "6/29/05

I received this bulletin yesterday and it has been confirmed. You may or may not agree with Thoughtcrime's philosophical mission, but the fact remains...

The downtown arts community either stands together - or falls together.

Read on... then forward the message.

--- ---

Thought Crime's building has been purchased for $700,000 and they are forcing us out. It will be renovated by a development company for their new offices. We have been given 30 days notice (after 10 years!). We may be able to stay an extra month, more news will follow as we receive it.

Come see us this first friday, we may also be open August 1st friday but the future is certainly uncertain.

We'll be raging it for a farewell party at Thought Crime on July 30th.

Large scale anti-gentrification public art opportunities may be presenting themselves, art support stand by.

agent activation may be called upon

stay ready
