Tempe, Arizona (PRWEB) November 14, 2005 -- Steve's Espresso, the fresh alternative to corporate coffee, once again brews up another over-the-top contemporary art show for December 2005. The hip and intimate cafe will feature new work by local artist Ralph Michael Brekan. Brekan, a Tempe resident since 1987, will unveil new pop art, debuting a new technique he calls "plastique colle" (collaged plastics).
Works in this same technique will exhibit in Paris in 2006, offering local collectors an up close and personal viewing of this stunning new technique before it splashes into the European market next year.
Visitors will also see Brekan's recent "collage paintings" as well as a sampling of works on paper and prints. Affordably priced, Brekan's work on exhibit ranges from $25-$2500. The show will delight the most voracious contemporary art buff, while the casual observer will giggle at the play on recognizable pop culture icons. The exhibit runs from December 2nd to January 6th, 2006. Steve's Espresso is located on the Southeast corner of McClintock and Baseline roads, in the Peter Piper shopping center (facing McClintock Rd). The public is invited to a opening reception on Friday, December 2nd from 6 pm until 10 pm. Free pastries and music.
