8:52 pm - ART IS DEAD, WATCH TV
by Michael Smith

i guess i'm doing the tape backups this weekend. everyone else goes off for the long 4day weekend and gordon lets me know it's my recently acquired task to back up the servers tomorrow and sunday. so i left at noon today in retaliation. why should i work too much, too long.
fuck 'em. just give me my check and step away from my desk.

and what do i do with my free afternoon??? i come home and tank up in bed with jill and all the yammering heads on tv . i don't have cable anymore and it wouldn't be so bad just having five boring channels- but THE RECEPTION ON THIS SET IS DRIVING ME FUCKING CRAZY!!!!! if you are going to invent firewalls and concrete to block out cheap tv sets, don't do it in one-room apartments where most miserable people NEED their tv to come in loud and clear.

things i've learned with six hours of fuzzed-out television: i been told 15 times to buy a nissan altima, 4 times buy this SUV that comes with a dog and a soccer mom , i been told countless times to drink pepsi today and i want to whack that little pepsi spokesgirl on the head with spokeswhore faith hill's acoustic guitar, i've been told 8 times to call jacoby and meyers for my DUI and bankruptcy cases by "actual clients"- but they can't be "actual clients"!!?!!! they talk like they're robots! i really don't think they're human. i am ready to throw this TV out the window. why did my ex get everything? i am thinking about sitting in the closet for a while with the door shut. just relax for a bit. i am wanting my mind to just turn off for a bit.

i feel hollow, especially first thing in the morning- staring at myself in the mirror shaving. i feel hollow like a cheap chocolate easter bunny. ha! and about the bathroom!- what the hell! i noticed last Monday that at one time the bathroom was painted red! behind the toilet tank i was shocked to notice the spot the maintenance crew didn't paint over with their standard lead-based white paint.

it was red.

red walls. i thought i was mad! HA! who the hell wants to wake up to a red bathroom???- but madmen. i am never doing ouija in this place. never gonna risk that.
