SPINDLE DESIGN COLLECTIVE, ALPHA MONSTER COLLECTIVE, AND ARTISH.ORG PROUDLY PRESENT:

THE MOVEMENT :
SATURDAY, JUNE 18TH @ POLO'S BLUE CUBE SAN FRANCISCO CA.

CONTRIBUTING GROUPS:
SPINDLE DESIGN COLLECTIVE ‹ Still in its inaugural year, Spindle Design Collective has already made its mark on the San Francisco arts scene.
The brainchild of Teresa Aguilera, Spindle is an artist collective
which showcases art, music, film, design, and other mediums through a progressive website. Spindle operates as a distinctive exchange seeking to call more attention to emerging local artists and facilitate collaboration. On the heels of its successful premiere, Spindle presents the follow up art show to "March Forth" with their second event appropriately entitled "The Movement". The concept represents the multi-directional flow of art itself, always fluid and open to interpretation. This show promises to be unique in that it successfully melds together art, music and performance by up and coming as well as established artists. Hosted by the Blue Cube, a burgeoning new San Francisco hot spot equipped with two floors, bars and an indoor
smoking patio. A diverse line-up of DJs will be spinning all night on both floors. With special guest designers and DJs from Alpha Monster and performances by Violent Fingers, Gaetano Fruscella and Dan, The Movement promises to be a feast for the eyes and ears.

ALPHA MONSTER COLLECTIVE ‹ If you have not heard about the Alpha Monster Collective yet, you most likely don¹t leave your house very often, nonetheless, prepare to be educated. Baron Gordon conceived the collective in the spring of 2004 IN Phoenix Arizona. He understood that in any arena success stems from two main ideals: networking, and marketing. Armed with that knowledge, he set out to find a team. However, this was not going to be any ordinary group of painters, what was to be put into motion was the beginning of a movement. One seemingly chance encounter after another lead him to assemble a who's-who of artistic professionals. There are now 28 in total. The ranks of the Alpha Monsters are fortified with many award-winning fine artists, but that is merely the surface of the project. Shoulder to shoulder with them stand: graffiti artists, DJs, internationally respected graphic designers, live visual artists performing alongside the top names in the music industry, comic book artists, interior designers, and yes, an architect. Upon introduction to the group, one might see Baron as a young Walter Gropious, overseeing the bustling Bauhaus School in Germany. Or perhaps even the RZA, fine-tuning his Wu-tang army. Whatever images the collective may conjure, Alpha Monster is an artistic force to be reckoned with. These young men and women are popping up all over the place, and are cementing themselves as household names.
