Tony, this appears to be a site devoted to visual imagery. Is there anywhere we can post poetry or short stories for the world to see?

not as of yet, unless you want to post them in the forums.
you could however turn them into images and post them under your account.
you make a good point though, ARTish should have the ability to host poems and other incarnations of the written word.
