WRITERS BLOC FICTION EDITING GROUP
Juli Henshaw will lead a fiction-editing group that focuses on a writer's development and the crafting of individual pieces. Sessions center on developing projects and receiving feedback from the workshop leader and other members in the editing groups. Writers will refine 1-2 short stories or a portion of a novel. All writing levels are welcome.

Juli Henshaw has taught Fiction Workshops at Writers’ Bloc, Phoenix and Mesa Community Colleges, and Changing Hands Bookstore. She received her MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont, and her work has appeared in the South Dakota Review and the Hawa ii Review.

Coming up in March and April, Writers’ Bloc will present the “So You Wanna Be A Rock Star” Songwriting Workshop at Modified Arts on Saturday, March 18 and Tuesday, April 5. Details will be announced soon!

The Trunk Space, in conjunction with Writers’ Bloc, is pleased to present "Love Stories," a solo exhibition of new art by Gregory Sale.
With a background in sculpture, performance art and community-based projects, Gregory Sale is one of the most respected conceptual artists in the state. Through text-based pieces, Sale dissects and presents some of the hardest moments he has faced. Details: The show runs through Tuesday, March 14. The Trunk Space is open Wednesday thru Saturday 6-10pm, and by appointment (recommended for this show). There will also be a First Friday Event with music by Mondegreen and readings by Gregory Sale on Friday March 3 at 8 pm.
VNSA USED BOOK SALE
The 50th Annual VNSA Used Book Sale will take place at the Arizona State Fairgrounds, 1826 West McDowell Road in Phoenix, on Saturday, February 11 and Sunday, February 12. The 2005 version offered more than 600,000 books, CD’s, audio and video tapes, puzzles, maps, and other book-related items, attracted more than 20,000 shoppers and enabled VNSA to donate over $300,000 to local nonprofit human service agencies. CHANGING H ANDS BOOKSTORE WRITING WORKSHOP
Steve Almond, the author of My Life in Heavy Metal and Candyfreak, leads a workshop focusing on how to write "proper" erotica. A reading of "disastrous love stories" and a gourmet chocolate tasting will follow. The workshop will take place on Monday, February 27 from 6-7:30pm. Reading and chocolate tasting follows at 8pm.
