 Grab your pals, your dog, your mom, your frisbee, etc, and head over to Coronado Park and mix and mingle with other community members. Event is B.Y.O.C.--as in can of whatever you would like to drink, as bottles are not allowed. From 3-7 we'll be grilling, chilling and listening sounds of a DJ. There will be a BBQ set up & ready to go, so bring something to grill or bring a potluck item to show off your culinary skills. A great chance for networking and just a chance to play together - away from our galleries and studios for once. We're counting on your reposting and spreading the word to maximize the fun! This brand new class will focus on art and culture in downtown Phoenix, diving into the concept of "downtown" in general, and Phoenix in particular. Phoenix is getting lots of attention right now, due to its downtown being re-imagined, both as a part of the New American University and as a New American City. This is the first time this class has been offered, and will be a great way to get in on the ground-floor of the growing downtown scene, especially its expanding cultural environment.

If you are interested you need to register for this class by Thursday the 19th, TOMORROW!!
This course will introduce students to art making with the computer through hands-on studio practice. Students will gain a working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop CS fundamentals, including preparing images for print and video, basic still image compositing, color correction, and various methods for image manipulation. Basic techniques for video and sound creation, editing, and manipulation will be explored throught the use of Apples iMovie and Garageband software. In addition to introducing new techniques, this course will provide a general theoretical and historical framwork for artistic practice in digital media.

Job Description:
The position is for a coordinator of the art and craft vendors who is also able to prepare simple food items, coffee and espresso drinks, and is efficient at using a cash register.
The ideal candidate will have experience preparing espresso and coffee drinks, sandwiches and pizza. The position requires someone who is able to multi-task and work efficiently. A positive attitude, generous smile and strong work ethic are also essential for this position. The hourly pay is dependant on the applicant’s experience. The hours are primarily in the afternoons, Monday through Saturday.
